Do I need permission from the Local Authority before beginning tree works? Yes, if the tree is subject to a TPO (Tree preservation Order) falls within a conservation area or is covered by any planning conditions.
How do I find out if my Tree is protected? A phone call, fax or e-mail to your local authority. Alternatively and for no extra charge, Treeline can do this as part of our service
What happens if my tree(s) are protected? An application to your Local Authority would need to be made to obtain consent to carry out any works with the exception of dead dying or dangerous trees. Treeline offer this service for a small administration fee.
Are Treeline insured in the event of damage to property or personal injury? Yes, Treeline are covered by £5 million public liability and £10 million employers liability which, is now the industries recommended level of cover.
What is the difference between an Arborist and a Tree Surgeon? An Arborist is a trained and qualified tree surgeon.
Are Treeline approved by any local authorities or governing bodies? Yes! Treeline are approved and recommended by most local authorities including, Mole Valley District Council, Reigate and Banstead District Council, Merton and Wandsworth Borough Councils. In addition we are an “Approved Contractor” of the Arboricultural Association’ the industry’s leading governing body. Treeline are also approved by Surrey County Council Trading Standards and included within their buy with confidence scheme. Treeline are Approved and assessed by Chas, also all staff are have CSCS cards for working on construction sites and have Enhanced CRB certificates, which is now a standard requirement for most commercial sites within housing, education and care.
