Do I need permission from the Local Authority before beginning tree works?

Yes, if the tree is subject to a TPO (Tree preservation Order) falls within a conservation area or covered by any planning conditions.

How do I find out if my Tree is protected?

A phone call or fax to your local authority. Alternatively and for no charge, Treeline offer this as part of there servce

What happens if my tree(s) are protected?

An application to your Local Authority would need to be made to obtain consent to carry out any works with the exception of dead dying or dangerous trees. Treeline offer this service for a small admin fee.

Are Treeline insured in the event of damage to property or personal injury?

Yes, Treeline are covered by £5 million public and £10 million employers liability which, is now the industries recommended level of cover

What is the difference between an Arborists and a Tree Surgeon?

An arborist is a trained and qualified tree surgeon.
